Although some jellyfish are believed to be immortal, and some clams can live for a long time, this animal is what is believed to be the longest living animal ever with a vertebrae. Behold the Greenland shark. One female was estimated to be four hundred years old.

That shark was older than United States of America. Can you believe that? But what’s funny is that this shark was living very happily over several centuries and the moment it met humans, Bam! It’s dead.
