I am just a simple user of their product and though I am a very simple man but I realise that all platform have their individual pros and cons. Suppose, Android has the power to do anything but lack of stability. iOS and Windows Mobile are not such powerful like Android but very stable OS they are. Mac is the beauty but Windows is so much user friendly, Linux is a lot of power but very tough for general peoples like me. So I think none OS we should hate but why "Bill Gates"? I have a Galaxy Note 4 for power use and a iPhone 6 Plus for its very stability. Though I have MacBook Pro but I use Windows 8.1 too for miscellaneous use. All have their individual productivity but why Bill Gates hate Apple?

Answer: It was true as of 2009: Microsoft boss Bill Gates bans his children from using Apple products... but his wife admits she'd like an iPhone. He reiterated the point in 2012 in a radio interview: Melinda Gates still keeps iPhones, iPods, iPads out of her Microsoft-only home.

Bill Gates and his family made their fortune because of Microsoft. Apple once sued him. I suspect he would be viewed as disloyal to his employees and legacy if he used anything but the best and newest that Microsoft has to offer.

At a 2013 reddit AMA, he was asked what computer is used. He replied:

I just got my Surface Pro a week ago and it is very nice.
I am using a Perceptive Pixel display right now -- huge Windows 8 touch whiteboard. These will come down in price over time and be pervasive...

Update: Melinda reiterated the Gates family anti-Apple position when the Apple Watch was released: Bill and Melinda Gates are not interested in the Apple Watch.

EDIT: This answer originally included a satire report of Bill Gates using an iPhone 5S which I mistakenly treated as news. My apologies; it has now been removed. Thanks to the commenters!
